What causes bad breath?
There are many reasons why someone would be diagnosed with bad breath. But, the most common reason is due to too much bacteria living in the mouth. Bacteria loves to find and feed on any hidden food particles in the mouth. If bacteria is not removed in a timely manner, then it will begin to grow. This eventually causes unpleasant smells in the mouth. The following is a list of three additional common causes of bad breath.
When someone’s mouth is dry it means they do not have enough saliva to fully clean out their mouth. This can easily lead to a bad breath diagnosis
Eating certain foods can cause someone to have bad breath. This is a fairly simple fix as all one needs to do is avoid eating these bad breath causing foods or clean their mouth immediately after eating these foods, e.g. garlic and onions
It is possible that a medical condition can be responsible for someone’s bad breath, such as diabetes, kidney disease and gastric reflux
